What is Dr. YSR Aarogyasri Health Care Scheme?

Andhra Pradesh state government has launched Health care scheme in the name of Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.  The scheme goal is to provide better medical treatment to economically poor or below poverty line people of Andhra Pradesh.  It is a very good initiative by Andhra Pradesh state government for economically poor people.

Under Dr. YSR Aarogyasri health care scheme, individual can eligible to avail cashless treatment for hospitalization, surgeries, diagnosis etc., It covers major disease like cancer treatments, neurosurgeries, cardiac surgery, organ transplantation surgery, paediatric surgery, plastic surgery and much more.   In short Dr. YSR Aarogyasri health care scheme plays a significant role in improving healthcare access and affordability for the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Healthcare Services:

Hospitalization: Provided free cost of hospitalization, ICU charges, doctor consultation  charges, diagnosis charges, Nursing services, everyday require medicines etc.,

Surgery: Coverage for various surgeries including major surgeries like heart surgeries, neurosurgeries, organ transplants, etc.

Medical Procedures: Coverage for medical procedures such as angiography, dialysis, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, etc.

Enrolment Criteria:

Beneficiaries: The scheme is only for residents of Andhra Pradesh.

Income Criteria: Those families annual income is less than Rs. 5 lakh or the families below the poverty line or economically weak they can apply for Dr. YSR Aarogyasri health care scheme.

Health Conditions:  Defined health conditions treatments may be covered under the Dr. YSR Aarogyasri health insurance scheme.  It covered disease like cancer treatments, neurosurgeries, cardiac surgery, organ transplantation surgery, paediatric surgery, plastic surgery and much more.

Documentation Required: Applicants usually need to provide Aadar card , residence proof, income certificate, Pan card etc., Those are holding the rice card they can also apply for the scheme.
